Ben:During my winemaking career, Ihave been fortunate to have received much citical acdaim in the form of many verypositive reviews from high profle wine writers as well as many show medals and trophies.

Ibecame a wine maker because of my love of vtiuture and the wine making process. 1am passionate about wine andIabsolutely love the detail and the inticacy of the wine making process. Particularly, Ienjoy the expression of tror in win-emaking – the connection between the vineyard and the winemaker and the winemaking process. Iwant to make winesthat are a true representationof the vineyard and the season. Iwant the wines to be a library of the vintages andto beable to look back on them and be able to taste the influence of the weather and the personality of the vineyard for thatparticular year. Imake wines that are ripe and as flavoursome as ossiblelIlet the grapes speak for themselves and try notto disrupt the perfection that each season offers. Iconsider myself very ludky to be given such perfect products to workwithand ensure that my winemaking retains as much of that perfection as possible.

Iparticularly like thatI can take a natural product- a grape, and craft thatgrape into a wine that tastes like a more complex example of the grape. r m constantly amazed at how that productafinished wine- can then be preserved and enjoyed for decades. In short, Iconsider that being a wine maker is a prvilege.Iam most inspired by winemakers who make wines in a taditionalal style andI enjoy tasting wines from smaller winerieswho make wines with heart and soul, One of the most memorable wine experiences Ihave had was at Chateau ChevallBlanc in Bordeaux andIwas partiulaly impressed with the style and the passion behind their wines. The wines from thisproducer are rich and ripe and demonstrate the eroir perfectly. Iaspire to make wines in this style.
