There' s heaps of fruit and spice and plenty of oak too and allin harmony that makes for a big, roundand complex drink. I s opulent and extravagant and absolutely approachable and delicious.Made mostly from Merlotgrapes grown on45 year old Riesling root-stockinavineyard at the northem end ofClare. After crushing, the. juicewas fer-mented on skins for about 10 days and then allowed further skin contact for another 14 days.Matured for 58 months inFrench oak hogsheads before being the resultant wine is almost black in colour. The nose is plummy and spicy and com-plemented by obvious but well integrated oak character. The palate is luscious, rich and soft and very, verygenerous. It' sjuicy and fruity,it' s long and it' s round. It has not been fined or fltered and while it is very approachable now, it willcontinue to develop over the next 10- 15 years.
● Vinification：Fermented in closed fermenters for a period of 12 days with twice daily pump overs. Pressed to tank prior to maturation in French Oak Hogs Heads.
